As a parent, have you ever wished your child came with a "how to" manual? Or, perhaps you just long for a "trouble shooting guide" for when your child enters adolescence? If so, you are not alone!

CY believes that parenting a child is one of the most difficult tasks there is in life. Requiring more than just a good sense of humor--although that is important--it takes real skill! For this reason, CY is working with our local PTO and FAP organizations to organize classes, workshops and speaker presentations designed to help parents improve their parenting skills.

New for 2009-010, CY has formed a "Parent Education Workgroup" whose goals will be 1.) to help publicize and promote existing parent education opportunities; 2.) to assess the need for additional parent education activities; 3.) to develop a strategy to reach a wider cross-section of parents; and 4.) to coordinate efforts across the District.
