CY/CSPY's 20th Reunion Alumni PICNIC
Monday, August 23, 2010 at 5:00pm

Calling anyone and everyone who has been involved in CY--Connecting Youth (aka CSPY in its early days) over the past two decades! Help us celebrate our 20th birthday with a picnic and BBQ at the Shelburne Beach! Former students, parents, educators, staff, volunteers--we want to see you again! CY will provide BBQ fare, cake and lots of fun games (think elbow tag, rubber chicken "flip me the bird," and categories!) This year during the week before prom EVERY student will be having an educational program with the following goals:
• Raise awareness about the impact of:
• Driving while under the influence of alcohol or another drug
• Riding in a vehicle with a driver who is under the influence
• Riding in a vehicle without a safety belt

MENTORS NEEDED FOR CHITTENDEN SOUTH YOUTH!.
Connecting
Youth Mentoring for middle school students has been thriving in our school
community, but more volunteers are needed NOW to meet the number of requests
for mentors!
By spending just one hour each week, you can
develop a one-on-one relationship with a middle school student that will
bring rewards to both you and your young friend. Connecting Youth Mentoring
serves 5th through 8th graders from Chittenden South who may want a little
extra adult attention in their lives. Mentors and their student mentees
spend a regularly scheduled hour together each week while school is in
session. They participate in activities of their choosing on school grounds,
including games, arts and crafts, sports, cooking, and conversation. On-going
mentor training and support is provided.
You could be a mentor, too! If
you are interested in learning more about the program, please contact
the Mentoring Coordinator closest to you:
