So you're chilling in a club one night, a guy
walks by and drops something in your drink. You didn't see what it was,
but you think, "What's the worst it could be?" Soon, you find
yourself out on the dance floor, shaking your groove thing, and wondering,
"Wow, this isn't how I normally am at clubs. I'm usually the quiet
and reserved one of the bunch. Well, who cares?" Suddenly you black
out. You come to the next morning, laying in your bed. You feel horrible,
you smell horrible, and you can't remember a thing about last night. Without
even knowing it, you ingested and suffered the effects of some of the
most dangerous drugs out there.
Club drugs are becoming increasingly popular
among young adults in our nation. Making up the six heavy-hitter drugs
out there are:
Methylenedioxy- methamphetamine (MDMA, otherwise
known as "Ecstasy")
Gamma-hydroxy butyrate (GHB)
Ketamine (Special K or K)
Rohypnol (Roofies)
Lysergic Acid Diethlyamide (LSD or acid),
and
Methamphetamines(Speed, Ice or Crank)
These drugs can appear in any size, shape or
form. They can come in a nice pill shape, as a tablet, or in a liquid
that slips easily into a stranger's drink. Typically, club drugs are cheap
and very easy to get. To learn more about the effects of club drugs, check
