Most of the drugs that fall under the category of stimulants are illegal to buy, sell, make or possess. If you are caught in possession of a stimulant like cocaine or LSD, you will likely find yourself sitting behind bars for a long time. Then there are the other stimulants, the ones found in everyday power drinks that are becoming more and more popular with today's youth. These stimulants include caffeine, a popular ingredient in everything from soda to coffee to power drinks. Although caffeine is thought of as a benign drug, it can form dangerous addictions just like its illicit counterparts. Just because caffeine isn't illegal, that doesn't mean you should be having a dose of it with every meal. If you have caffeine, it should be taken in moderation to avoid forming an addiction. As with any other stimulant, caffeine can have withdrawal symptoms. In short, stimulants can sometimes be dangerous, and sometimes be illegal, so it is usually a good idea just to steer clear of them all together. |
